Paul Campbell Talks about Building and Scaling Hospitality Businesses

Paul Campbell is the founder of Hill Capital Partners LLP, the vehicle through which he carries out private investment and advisory roles across the leisure and hospitality sectors.

Having formerly created, grown and successfully sold several businesses of his own Paul today works with ambitious entrepreneurs, Boards and fellow investors who are looking to significantly expand their businesses. He invests directly and will also co-invest with other funds and institutions.

Paul is currently an investor in and sits on the Boards as Chairman/NED of a number of respected and rapidly growing businesses.

These include Hawksmoor, Gymbox, Halcyon Hotels, Vinoteca, Hickory’s, Blacklock, TortillaThe Alchemist, Gusto and Yard Sale Pizza.

Paul gets involved with businesses like these in a variety of ways – sometimes as founder, other times as an early stage investor and also as a co-investor alongside PE funds.

Paul is an Advisor to Only A Pavement Away, a charity creating a conduit between employers in the hospitality industry and organisations supporting the homeless, ex-offenders and ex-service personnel.

Nicolas Rabener is the Managing Director of FactorResearch, which provides quantitative solutions for factor investing. Previously he founded Jackdaw Capital, an award-winning quantitative investment manager focused on equity market neutral strategies. Before that Nicolas worked at GIC (Government of Singapore Investment Corporation) in London focused on real estate investments across the capital structure. He started his career working in investment banking at Citigroup in London and New York.
